Focus on: Fly Box Studio

Once a month, we're going to be featuring some of the work that we have produced in the past and give you some history behind the making of it. This month, we are focusing on our Fly Box Studio. Whilst a lot of our work is focused around the home or public spaces, we sometimes find that commissions come in for pieces that people want to take on the go! That was the case when the first request for a fly box came to us.

We were delighted to be able to produce something that could be used regularly and find a home in any fly fishing kit. This could make a perfect, unique gift for Mother or Father's Day, or a birthday gift for the fly fishing enthusiast.

Made from our workshop in Glasgow, the Fly Boxes are made with the finest selection of Scottish hardwoods. They feature rare earth magnets, concealed hinges, foam inserts and are finished with a hard wax oil. The fly boxes can be made bespoke and are the perfect personal or corporate gift.

In line with this, we’ve also worked on pieces like the bespoke Fly Tying Cabinet. The desk was created from carefully selected Scottish Oak from the River Tweed Valley, a place synonymous with salmon fishing. The desk's American Walnut interior is complemented with a tying caddy, perfect for the Art of Fly Tying.

It's been fantastic to be able to create pieces within this niche and to provide special, custom-made items that can be cherished for generations.
